955 spare wheel on a 958

I have a 955 with the (collapsible) Vredestein spare wheel.
I also have a 958 with no spare wheel.
The 958 is soon going on its first European roadtrip, it is having new Michelin Latitudes fitted shortly beforehand but I'd still like to take a spare. They are basically the same cars underneath.
Before I faff around trying........will my 955 spare fit on my 958?
Ive only found one Porsche forum post that says it won't but doesn't actually say why.
Any ideas why not!
