I just bought one of the above as a second phone. Argos doing them for £150 on o2 PAYG if anyone is interested.

But anyway the cd rom that comes supplied with the 'mobile tools lite' was damaged and wont load. Emailed Moto to enquire if I can download it anywhere. 'No' is the reply and all they can suggest is I BUY the delux version for $29.99.. great, thanks for that !... Anyway my question is what am I missing by not having the software anything useful or crucial on there ? If its essential I'll kick off at Moto and demand a replacement disk.

cheers

Guy.

Nah, you don't miss anything. The moto software doesn't actually work with most motorola phones. Go figure!

take a look at expansys.com and their forums, there may or may not be a link or suggestion on there where to find some software :-0

The softeware hardly works, it's a bit like an early Windows 95 conversion from DOS, that doesn't have the functionality or the reliability of the DOS version.

Won't be buying another 'Moto' 'phone again, back to Nokia next time.

If the CD was damaged then go back to argos and ask for a replacement.

lite is complete and utter rubbish - deluxe is marginally useful, but certainly not worth the extra money - I bought mine SIM free and it came with the useful version .... don't think the disk is copy protected....

Thanks, I didnt think there would be much of use on there .. lol.. Ive not yet found a bit of phone software that was really worth having. I'll leave it.

Re taking it back to teh shop? well Im a lazy sod and seemed easier to try sort it from the seated position via email than battle through the peasants in argos again
