We're off on a west country jaunt and I'll need to charge around Bridgwater.

We'll need to stop for lunch at the same time. Please can you recommend any charge points near the M5 that have decent eatery attached? Disabled wife so short walk/wheel chair push is OK. just looking for something more Tebay and less Gordano.

I have recently used the Tesla superchargers at Cribbs Causeway. Open to non Tesla owners, sensible pricing, unlikely to be a queue. They're at the far end of the basement level of the car park by John Lewis, so it's an easy flat walk to the cafe just inside the store...

I'd charge at Bridgwater services - J24 (techincally not a motorway services but it is to all intents and purposes).

Then I'd head for lunch at The Compass Inn, which is just a stone's throw away. All very easy and accesible.

Alternatively charge as above and then go to the Hankridge Arms at J25, that's a decent place to eat.

I used the Dunball services just off J23 to charge my EV on the way back from Cornwall in Nov. 2024 and in May this year. Reasonable cost (in comparison to the main motorway services) and fast too. smile I have an Electroverse card.

There's KFC, Starbucks plus other franchises and a Tesco Express there if you feel the need.
