How to repair this pool table?

Hi All

I've acquired a pool table and one of the corners is broken as you can see in the photo. How would you go about repairing it? I'm thinking the void could be filled with something then sanded, then the whole of the corner sprayed, but no idea what materials!

Any suggestions?!

Is it structural? Chicken wire and papier maché would be quick. Otherwise fibreglass.

Can of expanding foam, trim back when it's done expanding, sand smooth and paint.
