Am definitely thinking ahead here given we are still August but wondering what you guys do to keep warm during the cooler months? I’ve read about heated gilets, anyone with personal experience of these? Or are just decent gloves, jacket and a beanie good enough? I have a heater in mine so no need to worry about my legs!

Thanks
Mike

Honestly I've never found the car that cold in the winter. I get way more issues with my legs burning up in the summer!

Jeans, a decent jacket and a hat seem to do the job.

Yep, hot legs in summer is a problem!

This topic on keeping warm could all become academic as after reading about damage/rust/corrosion due to salt and grit on the roads I’m now thinking of SORN’ing the car Nov to Mar…will miss driving it but doubt there will be many driving opportunities for me in that time. Now trying to work out how best to store and prep for winter…but will leave that for another topic!

I don't tend to use mine much in the winter (I'm not great at using it in the summer at the moment either, but there we are).

I used to drive it in the winter though. I swear by ACF50 and giving the car a good wash afterwards.... followed by more ACF50 - especially in the grot traps at the rear of the engine bay.

I had it resprayed a couple of years back and while there was a little corrosion on the side skins (which was there before I bought it), the chassis was in very good shape.
