Hi everyone in Griffland !
My PAS rack leaks fluid (when engine is running) from where the input shaft enters the valve body.
Does anyone know the part number for the seal or is it going to be a more expensive problem lower down in the high pressure area of the valve ?
Thanks in advance

From the experience of a Cerby owner in our region, sadly yes. Replacing the upper seal was quite cheap, but did not last long.
The one on my 96 Griff (33k miles) "seeps" a bit, but the loss is hardly noticeable (have not needed to top up in a thousand miles) - have got it through the MOT by wiping off evidence before the drive to the garage!
Dealers want £1000 for a new rack - ouch!
My 96 Griff failed the MOT on this very thing a few months back. The parts guy at Waldonway told me it was a common problem.
There are two sizes of seal, and of course, I needed the one he didn't have in stock.
The TVR centre in London sent me one by post. It was not expensive, the postage was more than the part.
It was a swine to fit because I could not get the rack out of the chassis without removing the exhaust. In the end, I just lifted he rack as high as I could while it was still in the chassis, and that gave me enough access to change the seal. Be careful not to damage the housing though.
BTW, Waldonway said that new Griff PAS racks were no longer available, and the factory did not have the bits to recon. old ones. Waldonway were having to fit modified Tuscan racks.
