V12 Vantage Ceramic Brake pads
Discussion
Hi All
Ive got a 2009 V12 Vantage. At my last service earlier this year it was flagged my front brake pads were low and should really be replaced but they couldnt get hold of any.
Ive been trying to source some ever since and when I phoned Works service have told me the front brake pads, 8D33-2D007-BB have been on back order since February!
Is anyone else out there waiting on some front pads, Ive not used my car since June as I dont want to risk scoring the discs with heavily worn pads.
Ive searched and there is an alternative pad from Pagid, the RSC1 freely available.
Has anyone tried them on their cars, if so how have you got on? Do they work ok with the standard ceramic discs?

In the US I have seen a few posts on eBay for AM boxed - Brembo new front brake pads with sensors, they are 8D33-2D007-BA in the $320 price range.
Can't swear to it but the "BA" could be a factory pad that has not been bedded-in, where as the BB is bedded-in at the factory.
Not sure if AM still sells the non-bedded-in pads or if they switched to only selling the bedded-in pads.

Velocity AP has them on their website, albeit with a different part number. Might be worth a call or email?

I’d speak to McGurk (looks like you’re pretty local) and see what they suggest.
Aston, really do need to sort their parts supply. I do think these cars are going to be hideously expensive one day in the future as it’s less than 10 years since they were making some of these yet basic parts you just can’t get.

One day? How about now? Failed tail lamp on my 14 Vanquish: $8000 (with discount). Aston, really do need to sort their parts supply.
