I've always enjoyed watching rally but I've never witnessed it in person. I therefore came up with the idea of going to Sardinia on our annual motorhome camping trip next May/June and watching the WRC. However, it seems that the calendar is changing next year to WRC will likely be on mainland Italy and later in the year.

So my question is, what are the best rally's to go and watch in Europe that normally occur in May/June? It doesn't have to be WRC, and having just been to Le Mans Classic, I think I'd enjoy historic rallying more. We'd have 17 nights (which will also include driving from and getting back to Lancashire), so hopefully plenty of time. We particularly enjoy the south of France and Spain.

Thank you in advance.

There are several events every weekend in France, not sure which areas, but not hard to find if you check ewrc or something

Spain has less events but more gravel and also a big off road scene Dakary stuff.

All French tar is closed road stuff but some if their gravel rallies are on very rough roads, there is also a huge off road scene in France, very competitive and huge and varied entries

If you are not wedded to a Europe trip, one of the biggest rallies around is the Donegal International, in late June. 3 days and a lot of top class machinery, modern and historic.
