Can someone just confirm for me that both the passenger footwell and roof hoop courtesy lights work like this
. On (one side)
. Off (Middle)
. ON WHEN DOOR OPEN (other side)

My passenger footwell light works as above but my roof hoop works like this
. On (one side)
. Off (Middle)
. OFF (other side) BUT.... THIS TURNS ON THE PASSENGER FOOTWELL LIGHT
Opening either door has no effect.
I can't believe this is how it is supposed to be.

The hoop light Off centre, On one side, switched by doors other side. Not sure about the footwell light. I do remember the Hoop light being switched by an earth not 12v as I needed to get the correct polarity LED when they were only available in polarity sensitive.

Thank you.
Interesting about switched earth because thats usually the +ve end of the lamp. I'll check that.

My 1994 500 footwell light is the same as the roof one - on/off/doors and both seem to work independently.
