992.2 GTS ride comfort
Discussion
Have been looking for a 992.2 with quite a high spec but realised that for £25k more I can get a GTS which appear to eb naturally higher spec so choice of 30 cars rather than 8 currently that meet what I want.
So I'm nervous about ride comfort as knew the last model GTS was super hard, anyone got any comparisons. Not too bothered (oddly) about finer points of handling as would trade comfort for total grip etc.
Can get a test drive but don't want to waste folks time.

If anything like the 991.2, these cars will be really sensitive to tyre pressures. There are threads on other forums that I read and then did a bit of trial and error on my car to find the sweet spot.
I’ve tried various pressures on my 992.1 GTS and it makes no difference. Although, to be fair, I never tried the higher settings, only ‘comfort’ and lower. In any case, the .1 is far too firm for the road to the point my wife won’t go in the car. Whether that’s a good or bad thing is another matter!

Same on my 991 too. Comfort feels about right - it can feel a bit twitchy with any more air.Crumpet said:

My wife is very happy to travel in my 992.1 GTS Cab with the delete -10mm and removal of the helper springs. My other car is a Cayenne S with air so she could easily demand she always travels in that. Back in the UK after 14 years in NL and DEU the roads are the pits. It might look 10mm higher than a standard GTS cab, but it is worth it. In any case, the .1 is far too firm for the road to the point my wife won’t go in the car. I’ve had a 992.1 GTS from new and it’s very firm. A friend also has a 992.1 GTS that landed about four months after mine and it’s no way near as firm. Differences are his is a cab, has PDCC and is on Pirelli vs my Goodyears.
Recently spent some time in a 992.2 GTS and it felt more like my Audi than my 992, no way near as firm. I don’t know what options it had though.
Only way you’re going to find out whether it’s too firm for you is to get out and drive a few, find one that rides to your liking and spec it up the same.
