The BMW website talks about personalised pricing for cars over 3 years old with “Savings on labour coupled with savings of up to 40% on parts”. Does anyone have experience of this actually being offered by their authorised dealer?

So the offer is age dependent in that you only get 40% off parts if you car is 10 years old.

I suspect you may struggle to get this discount via an online booking but a phone call and a mention should get things moving along.

Obviously reiterate the offer at point of visit.

I suspect that BMW will be funding the parts offer, and the dealer the labour rate offer. Although I doubt they’ll offer more than 10% off labour unless you push really hard.

There might be some exceptions and it wouldn’t surprise me if when the car is on the ramp the dealer finds some work that is not covered.

So basically you need to shout about it and see what happens.

Yes I have personalised pricing for my next service in September on my soon to be 4 year old X3.

Personalised pricing starts after the car is 3 years old and is mileage based too.
My service is £560ish as opposed to £730ish. If you use the My BMW app and go to the servicing section it showed the price for my car based on mileage and age and the non personalised price.

But don’t forget you’ll also need the ‘vehicle check service’ which is priced separately to be able to have a ‘full service shown against the car.’

When I phoned my nearest dealer to book in the service they also quoted the personalised service so no need to try and call them out on it. Or that was my experience anyway.

See my thread on dishonest main dealer service pricing!
