Barclays account

We had transferred to funds to barclays joint account and they blocked the transfer of funds asking proof of funds which came from salary accounts at hsbc

They send a letter with reference number to upload documents


We have tried mutiple time as using the ref number does not work customer service does not seem to know how to resolve how do we resolve the issue and we spent hr on phone

Is there barclays email address we can submit the proof?

I’d be taking my business elsewhere.

It’s one thing to ask for additional info, another entirely to make it seemingly impossible to provide it.

Sounds like typical Barclays inefficiency.
I had an issue when dealing with their bereavement team who are supposedly better trained.
Maybe try the complaints email address - [e-mail]

I have no idea how Barclays are still in business.

They were jokers way back in the 80's.

It's been downhill ever since.

Don't bother with Halifax / HSBC either.
