Another RAC trip today after fuel leak from injector 6. Two weeks ago the same issue from injector 1

Both occasions, the rail has come lose at one end or the other.

Earlier this year, I changed the fuel pump and an injector (number 4).

Questions:

Am I over or under tightening the hex bolts?
Should I replace rubber seals on injectors?
Is using Loctite wise?
Should I be looking at something else?

I’m very worried about this as this time I had kids in the car and getting them out in a fire is a big worry to the wife

The fuel rail is held on with 4 cap head screws so for one of the ends to lift, at least 3 of the screws have to come loose? Have you checked all your throttle bodies are tight to the head?

If injectors have been disturbed then definitely replace the seals, especially given how cheap they are.

Yes, it still lifts with one screw loose. All were tightened when cold, so I guess I should’ve retightened when hot. All TBs are tight, the rail just worked its way loose twice!
