New E46 M3 owner question

Just acquired a loverly E46 manual coupe. Very pleased with the car overall, but I have a question about the brakes. This car has the F80 front pads and discs and the brakes are extremely good, but it retains the standard rear setup and it feels to me like it stands on it's nose under braking and the the front is overbraked compared to the rear and that the balance isn't quite there, got a feeling it would be very easy to unsettle the rear under braking.

Is this a common conversion and do folks do anything to improve the rear brake performance?
