Has anyone got one of these parts/know a source in the UK?
Discussion
It's a threaded sleeve that goes on the negative post of a battery. Fits on the opposite way up to the image. They do a positive as well but I don't need that. The lead from the car is a cap with a female thread. I think they are or were common in France/Europe and this is to fit an old Alpine.
I have found a trade supplier in Spain and this is the link from their site but they won't sell to non-trade, plus I don't want 10 plus I want one now.
End of the day I can cut the oem connection and fit a conventional one but I'd quite like to keep it original if it's easy. Thanks.
Just in case anyone asks, yes I broke the one that was on the old battery I'm replacing. 2016 so it did well.

Thanks for the link. No luck so far so originality may be sacrificed in the interests of mobility.https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Very close Jeff, the base is slightly different from the one I linked in my opening post. The seller is having a laugh at that price. Looking like I'll just chop the lead in the car and fit a conventional connector. Will be easier for the next person to change the battery in about 5 years as well.
