On Channel 5, program about fare dodgers on London underground and trains.

"Revenue Protection" officers who basically just identify dodgers and then just follow them as they ask for a ticket, not allowed to apprehend (only BTP can do that). Only way to stop them is follow them onto train and stop it moving which results in other passengers kicking off, meaning the fare dodger gets off and walks away.
Young scamps, or otherwise known as gobby yoofs who are caught give back lip, say they have no signal on phone to show ticket, tell them they are 14 when they obviously are not and basically dont give a toss.

Because they cannot stop these little cherubs physically, one of the officers said, all they can do is stop them travelling for free, not so much identify them or hold them.

I suppose nowadays criminals have more rights than the rest of us.

I've not been to London in a number of years.
However I was in paris at the weekend it was like being on safari whilst using the metro. Watching youths push through and jump over the barriers like gazelle.

Total p#ss take.

The cost was tiny but they obviously don't want to pay.
Lots of cameras and we spotted ticket inspectors however never spotted anyone being questioned.

No doubt they avoid confronting some of these youths as they likely fear them

The ‘gobbiest yoof’ apparently ended up paying his fines. That’s after him saying that ‘he doesn’t pay for transportation’.
