I did book to go in 2020, that was obviously cancelled by Covid and with all the waiting round, changed schedules of the normal TT caused by the weather, I’ve little inclination to go.

There doesn’t seem to be much publicity around the event and it partly clashes with the BSB at Cadwell Park.

Is anyone going and what do you think of the event.

I assume there’s no tv coverage or online coverage for this?

Got a mate of mine who's chatting a fair bit with Michael Dunlop. Will probably try get out 1-2 nights for beers with him and if I can get enough videos, pictures and don't let my brain wonder off like it normally does I'll try do a little post about it all

Been to probably 15/16 mgp/classic tt 's. Obviously much quieter than the tt and a lot more varied machinery both competing and on the public roads. Close racing as shown in yesterday's racing just without the names in the mgp part of the event. Few vintage bikes shows and Jurby day round the island during the event if that's your thing. Been helping a mate who is competing in practice week but unfortunately he came off and is out of the event

I did read that one of the competitors Dan Hanby, came off at Balegarey. Lucky fella, as it’s one place you really don’t want to come off.

Let’s hope the rest of the week provides for some good safe racing.

I've seen a couple of great clips of Dunlop with the Wiz Norton 588 rotary...what a beautiful noise!

I’m happy to post a few pics. I enjoy the fellow visitors bikes as much as looking at race bikes

I’ve been visiting for 25years (TT/Manx/Classic/car Rally…plus non-racing visits)
Absolutely love the Isle of Man.
For me the Classic/Manx has more appeal than the TT, so much so I’m on the cusp of cancelling my booking for TT next year and going across just for the Manx/Classic next year.

I’ll keep popping my pics from this year as I get the chance to.

Oh and to say the ferry was quiet would be an understatement…… (the new Manxman from Heysham)
I managed to sleep pretty much the whole way across

Looks very nice for a fairly unmodified 1200 Bandit with a seat/fairing -extremely effective.

Surprised to see the space on the ferry, we went to the last MGP and the first few classic TTs and the event looked to be gathering momentum,. Have been to the Southern 100 instead more recently.

Nice pics Y2. I guess the whole event hasn't really been pushed, which may be a good or a bad thing depending on if those who attend would rather it stays a bit more under the radar!

I haven’t been to the Manx before, seeing those pictures of how quiet it was suits me down to the ground.
I love the TT but it’s far too busy for me now.

I believe it’s a special edition bike. SS-01

Thanks mate. It’s busy it certain hotspots like when bands are playing etc but it’s definitely a LOT quieter than the TT.

The boat is definitely quieter, and that new (last year) boat is much nicer (it’s a lot bigger too) to travel on than Ben or Mannanan
