Recommendations please- Edinburgh Pubs/ great Whisky choice

Good evening everyone

I have some friends visiting Edinburgh later this week- they are going on a distillery tour but would like to visit a pub which is armed with a good selection of Whisky, from which they can select a few samples.

I know this is the place to get some good recommendations- thank you everyone for any assistance

Thistle Street Bar in the New Town has a good selection of Single Malts, it's a local pub with live music and off the tourist trail. I found myself melting into the background after a few Tobermory 12 yr old doubles.

The Bow Bar is my first choice. Great selection and fairly priced for Edinburgh.
