I previously painted my internal doors with dulux trade satin which I was never overly pleased about. Ive just bought some trade dulux eggshell oil based. Can I simply rub the doors down lightly and paint the eggshell over the top?

Prime it first. Painting over the old oil based stuff May end up peeling off easily.

If it’s Dulux water based satin, a light sand and a good degrease would be fine for me.

Yes, not much difference in a satin and eggshell finish though.

Oil satinwood and eggshell are self undercoating - just put two coats on after a good degrease and sand.
