Where to stick Péage tag on DB11?
Discussion
Off to France and I am intending to buy a tag for the toll roads. Website info says to stick the tag in the "mottled" area behind the mirror, however the DB11 (or at least mine) doesn't have such a spot. Can I assume this car doesn't have a metallic/althermic windscreen? In which case, just to the right of the rear view mirror will be fine. Is there any position that might interfere with either the tag or any in-car system (arial etc.)?
Note that, on the A13 as you head to/from Normandy from/to Paris there are now free-flow petals systems in place where you don’t stop at the traditional barriers. Instead it pings your device as you go under one of the underpasses.
Seems to be linked to roadworks but there are signs in French that encouraging people to keep their tags fixed to their windscreens so that they don’t have to log on later to pay (there’s number plate recognition in place for those without tolls). Signs in French and English reminding people to log on to pay within 72 hours.
Not sure if there are similar examples elsewhere but it’s one reason for just attaching to the windscreen and forgetting about it. The tag will ping loudly as usual when it’s read.

Thanks. Can’t put it to the left because there is already sensor housing in that position.
I have mine placed to the left of the gubbins and the tag works perfectly.I have had problems in the past with a tag mounted on the right side of the windscreen (DB9) not always being picked up by the barriers. As soon as I moved it to the left side it worked every time thereafter. Barrier not going up on the t lane is not something you want to experience lol.
