New plate month. Lots of people will trade cars, dealer courts will he swamped with too many cars, at the bottom of the market there will be great new deals. Or will dealers just chuck the cars in a parking lot somewhere….

Experienced ph-ers (who buy used) are reg months the best ones to grab a deal on a used car or will it be business as usual in your experience?

BCA has the trade in side of things wrapped up, unless it's a particularly nice example at which point it'll be put through the workshop & if there are no surprises it'll be sold AUC.

Pre delivery sales aren't looking to hot at the moment.

I thought cars going into the auctions have mechanical issues of sorts. Did t realise this is how it works.

I might just try to view some cars from a private.

Some cars going into auction have mechanical (or other) issues but there's so much volume that goes through BCA etc that there's plenty of decent cars too. And from what I've seen, its certainly not the case that Cinch (or Marshall) cream off the best ones, at least they might do a proportion but certainly not all, there's just too many.

Most dealers are lazy and will try get these cars rather than take on an "average" car and properly prep it, so it drives the cost of good ones up, making the margins very thin.
