What a horrible nasty man.
Apparently his lawyers are trolling the Internet and will sue anyone they find posting deflamatory remarks.
Are we afraid?

He's changed his position: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce93klk0jpzo

For those unfamiliar. Guy caught stealing a kid's hat (that was given to him by a player) at a tennis game. He was caught on camera and identified. Initially decides the best way forward is to double down and give a lesson in the worst PR imaginable with some parody-level alpha CEO BS.

Now back-tracked as above so I doubt he's on the prowl for defamatory remarks.

I feel a bit for the guy tbh.

You see people who make global headlines for being sheer evil and then you have ones where you think "could have been me" and the bloke's just mad an awful error of judgement.

The apology seems about right to me.

Assuming his original statement following the incident is correct then that's where he messed up. He should have simply apologised straight away.

bks.

He was fking caught on camera and got ripped in to.

If he hadn't been filmed this story would never happen and he would no doubt have kept it.

Not sure why the video isn't on the BBC website but posted in case anybody wants to see it.

Agreed if he said it but I don't think that was anything to do with him according to what he's said today.

"I also want to make it clear: neither I, my wife, nor my sons commented on this situation on social media or on any website,' he continued. 'We did not use the services of any law firm in this regard. All alleged statements appearing online are not ours."

Agreed. It was scummy behaviour end of.

Initially trying to double down on it with the big I am just makes him look an even bigger douche.

That apology will be through gritted teeth.

I don't think I'll ever be in the position of snatching a hat from a kid then doubling down when caught out.

Hes only changed his tune because of how bad its made him look.

Indeed. You have to be a special sort of scummy to do what he did.

Agreed.

He's only sorry because the world (rightly) called him out as being an amoral and selfish sack of sh*t.

Poor guy can't win. If he'd being caught handing out free hats to young boys from a van, he'd also have been pilloried.

What a world we live in.

It has been quite funny to watch that explode over on x.com as ever larger accounts reposted it with "Internet, do your thing" requests. And it did. Found, doxxed, and shamed.

He was then reported as doubling down on the gowork.pl forum, which has gone down about as you would expect.

Now apparently an apology is on his company's site www.drogbruk.pl but that's not responding for me.

Sometimes I love the internet.

A guy steals a hat from a kid and stuffs it away in his partner's bag thinking he pulled off the perfect crime. It gets picked up on the cameras and the internet does its thing.

Kid ends up meeting the player and getting a few hats out of it and now Piotr is getting his comeuppance for being a scumbag.

Interesting if true.

That happened with the Coldplay guy. It may be something to consider for PR purposes that if you don’t get out straight away some trolls will disseminate a fake statement on your behalf to aggravate the situation further.

CEO at public event gets caught misbehaving on camera. What a douche, and what a moron for not observing the Coldplay incident and thinking “everything - EVERYTHING - is filmed, maybe as a readily identifiable person I shouldn’t behave like a dick.”

I normally agree with your viewpoints but I find myself in disagreement here. I can't imagine that I'd ever snatch a hat from a child nor, I suspect, would you. This bloke may lose out on some business and now everyone knows he's a . As consequences go, I think that's about right. The general public will have forgotten about him in a week.
