My (small) collection
Discussion
Not sure if I have posted this on here before.... Here is a watch my amateur watch maker friend made for me, I can't remember the exact movement but it is a quality one.

I also have a Rolex Datejust that my wife bought for me for my birthday.

I also have Tag Heuer Red Bull F1 watch

It's a small collection so far, but hope to increase my collection slowly.
What do you think?

That first one is actually very cool looking, and I don't usually like skeleton type watches.
I love it too, my friend is a genius building watches, I wish he would be brave enough to do it a bit more commercially. He can make a really good quality watch for significantly less than the big boys sell watches for.

That's a great watch your mate made. I love the dial design-kind of pilot/propeller vibes with a semi-industrial look and the H-tiling finishing on the movement plate is cool too. Putting a full set of lumed numbers would make it a fabulous pilot watch, but the drilled hour markers are a great feature as it is (though my OCD nature would prefer them to be symmetrically distributed)!
Is he Swiss?
What movement did he use-an ETA?

Hi there.
2sMoKiN here.
I spent 20+ years working in security.
Do you guys ever think about the risk of posting your wares on here? Not wishing to scaremonger but it's a piece of cake tracking folk's address, especially if your handle is your actual name.
It's especially easy if you use your actual name, let us know your rough area and are a company director.
Not wishing to scare monger or anything. I know we all post pics of our cars which are worth thousands, but watches are generally easy to transport and sell.
Remember, not everybody reading these pages is your friend.
I'm probably being a party pooper, but when you've seen stuff like I've seen you see danger around every corner!
If Peter isn't OP's real name, then well done for the subterfuge!

I'm not a big Rolex fan but wouldn't say no if one like yours came my way at a price I couldn't refuse or if gifted like you had.
I do like your F1 TAG Heuer though and have four different 80's/90's ones in my collection.
The first one is not something that I would buy but even so, is a bit different and a talking point I suppose whenever you ware it.
I tend to buy anything I like from the lower end of the price range and probably have far too many but enjoy having something different on every day and not having to worry about them too much.
Maybe an 80's Omega Seamaster could be on the cards or even another TAG....not sure yet.
What would you go for next if you expand the collection?

I want my friend to make me a Rolex GMT replica, obviously not using the rolex logos, just to look like it. Also fancy an Omega of some kind.I do like your F1 TAG Heuer though and have four different 80's/90's ones in my collection.
