Hi all got to change our SUV very soon, At present we have a Touareg 3.0 R line 2015 but had it 5yrs now and change every 5yrs ,Been thinking of an F Pace SVR now I know the Land Rover SVR and Jag share a few parts but having had a land rover some years back vowed I’d never have another but love the looks and sounds of the 5.0 SVR Jag just wondered what people’s experience of them is?.?. Thanks all

Shared platform between the F-pace and Velar, the 5 litre's an awesome engine that has its own issues but nothing like the ingineuim's.
Great car and seem to suffer less from JLR'isms.

Yes fully recommend but use an independent for servicing, even under warranty for me.

I'd be worried about jumping to the top of the local TWOCers hitlist and unless someone on your street owns an RS6 I think you'd be it with an F Pace SVR.

I'd definitely be leaving the keys in a prominent place by the front door put it that way.

That’s exactly what I do. Full warranty, and qualified independent for servicing. As far as the car is concerned it’s a 2019 had it for 2 plus years and done 18000 miles. Only problem I’ve had was Oxygen censors which I had replaced under warranty. Great car in my experience. Power, space and practicality, if you can out up with 18 urban and 25 on a run, which I am happy with.

I suppose it depends when you live perhaps. I have had the security update done and had no problems. It is double locked and a wheel lock so I do however take precautions.

I guess you can check with JLR. Its code is H432 as I recall. I remember it well because they cocked up my headlights wink and it had to go back. I don’t use JLR but had to on this occasion. Mine was a 2019 so it was done in the second batch. They did the newer ones first. They should all be ok now, but yes check it’s been carried out.

Engine and gearbox are just fantastic. Post 21 interior is really good and up there with the best.
As far as security is concerned, I would recommend a Ghost immobiliser.

I am just over a year and 10k miles into ownership of a 2022 facelifted model (39k miles on clock now). I am loving it. I don't live anywhere near areas of significant car theft so that was a nonconcern for me. Insurance is high but suspect that is more to do with blanket blaming. Hoping it comes down as they age.

Good bits:
MPG - staggeringly good. Strange to start with this on a performance SUV I realise but it has been the greatest surprise. I rarely get below 25mpg avg and often see 30mpg. I do live in the sticks, so very little stop-start. Recent 2500mile journey to the continent and back with bikes on the rear saw a 28.2mpg average. Fuel tank is large so it has a very good range between stops.
Ride - superbly balanced, especially as pace picks up. Deals with our broken tarmac really well and over on the continent it was sublime.
Interior - really nicely put together and a great mix of materials. I find the seats to be ideal - comfortable and supportive. The screen may not be to everyone's taste but it is really fast and connects seamlessly to carplay. Controls that should be physical are all physical and have a lovely touch to them.
Engine - best for last. It's amazing, especially in this day and age where everything is turbo or hybrid. Throttle response, noise, you have it all. It's even robust.

Bad bits:
It's a Jaguar product. I want to be positive but they don't have their reputation without reason. I've struggled with my local dealer with warranty bits (only small issues) and it's frustrating. But I have an independent not too far and they were great for the service. Looking forward to just dealing with them going forwards once extended warranty is up.
Tbf, I did have a Mclaren for 6 years and that should have been a woeful experience, but it wasn't. So I'm hoping for the same.
And that's it from my ownership perspective.

I think they're a bargain for what they go for used. I'd definitely recommend the facelift. The interior, gearbox(tuning from Project 8) and suspension all got a substantial overhaul. I don't like where Jaguar is headed and I love that I am flying the flag for what I believe is one of their best products in years.

Hope that helped a little. Look forward to hearing whatever it is you choose next!
