Sport exhaust genuine retrofit or tuning
Discussion
I'm driving a new Pur without a valve exhaust.
Now I'm considering installing an aftermarket sports exhaust like Inox, Evox, GT Performance etc. or the original sports exhaust, which can be sourced for reasonable money.
I'm not sure if the tuning parts will actually make the sound fuller and more bassy/muffled, which would be important for me. I would not like to get a more metallic sound.
Can anybody comment on this?
Has anyone already retrofitted the original sports exhaust with manual control? Connecting it to the drive modes, is not my favorite solution.
Thank you!

My A110 has a non valved exhaust, I fitted a KTR exhaust a couple of months ago.
It has definitely improved the sound of my car, along with a Life110 air filter, it's a bassy sound, not metallic.
It does drone a wee bit on the motorway, but coming from an Elise its significantly quieter.
One thing to be aware of is that valved exhausts have a different exhaust mount (drivers side UK) to non valved exhausts.

Bear in mind that at least as much of the change in sound comes from the sound pipe which comes with the OEM sports exhaust, and from the pops, bangs and flatulence that are a result of the ECU settings (which can be altered by the Life 110 remap) . Personally I'd consider fitting just the sound pipe first - it's easy and not too expensive. Worth listening to the OEM sports exhaust first - opinions are personal and very varied. Now I'm considering installing an aftermarket sports exhaust like Inox, Evox, GT Performance etc. or the original sports exhaust, which can be sourced for reasonable money.

Thank you for your feedback!
After testing a GT with sports exhaust (and sound pipe) I was convinced, that I personally dont like the sound pipe.
Consequently it was ok for me, that my Pure had no package.
Now I am missing some more (louder) exhaust sound, but I would not like to have the intake sound close to my head.

Take a look at the new exhaust system being made by Wortec, designed by Alp (Pure, I think) owner Paul Spinks; it's fast become the preferred system by a growing number of owners.
Wortec's based down near Chichester which geographically may be an issue for you, but according to the reports and posts I've read and seen, their system will provide the kind of sounds you're looking for without any of the drone. It's also the lightest, available in stainless steel (or titanium for extra lightness) - and I'm getting my Alp fitted with one in a few days' time!

Will be interested to know what the noise levels are like for track use static and drive by.Wortec's based down near Chichester which geographically may be an issue for you, but according to the reports and posts I've read and seen, their system will provide the kind of sounds you're looking for without any of the drone. There's a survey on FAR & the most chosen exhaust swap is to a single tube, & it looks like the one most used is made by a member there.

There is also ~118 pages of exhaust chat here: (from p77) https://forum.alpinerenault.com/viewtopic.php?f=10...
From a post by the maker of the most popular single tube exhaust:
"You can mount it on two axle stands in 45 minutes while taking your time. There are washers that come into contact with the SBs so nothing to position. It is naturally centered. I thought about this point during the design.
Price: 280 including VAT excluding shipping costs"
If I didn't already have a titanium exhaust by Metal Customs, I'd give this one a try. Not a lot to lose if it's too loud or whatever. There are YT clips by others that have it installed so you can have a quick listen. So much reading to do....
Edit: added a pic

It would be of great help if you could post soundfiles before and after as well as sharing your own experience after the change.
