Typically they'll have a quite grainy appearance and if there's lettering/words they will be nonsense or the letters will be splodgy hieroglyphs. No idea if there's an automated way of detecting them. No results from a reverse image search is indicative but by no means a guarantee it's AI slop.

This is the modern world. It’s crept up on me rapidly. It really does move so fast (AI) it’s quite shocking.

If you're peering at an image on a phone screen it's an uphill fight to spot that level of detail, especially if you're in bad lighting.

Are you wanted to check if an image is AI generated?

If so theres lots of online checkers for such things...

https://sightengine.com/detect-ai-generated-images
https://decopy.ai/ai-image-detector/
https://wasitai.com/
https://illuminarty.ai/en/

And many more... Google "AI image check..."
