Threat Magazine - 1980's BAOR content?

I've somehow got hold of a copy of Threat magazine. It appears to be aimed at military personnel (possibly BAOR) in the mid 1980's. Published by 7 Intelligence Company in Germany.









Do any of the Old and the Bold remember this?

Not that publication specifically, but I have lots of pre-1989 sources on WARPAC kt and tactics, when much of the intel was still based on good old-fashioned espionage and guesswork. We know with the benefit of hindsight that Soviet capabilities had been overestimated on a Potemkin-esque level but the contemporary assessments make for very interesting reading. Especially the later MiGs.

One of my regular go-to references is William Baxter's 'Soviet Airland Battle Tactics', 1986, which is right next to me on my desk here.

I would suggest digitising this and uploading it to the Internet Archive. It doesn't seem like it has been uploaded before.
