Good morning,

Looking back through the old MOT's, it seems there was quite a bit of corrosion on the suspension arms. Have these been replaced?

Many thanks

David

Hi David. No they haven’t. RGB do my servicing and MOTs and did not even mention them on last MOT.. They were also not mentioned in the fail test in July. It is surface rust not structural, where the waxoyl coating has chipped away.. You can see the condition on a few of the mechanical photos. Depends on the tester what advisories they mention I guess. Car has dry been garaged since I bought it. Also doesn’t go out in the wet.

A lovely looking car. A beautiful colour.

Front wishbones are formed out of simple angle steel and do rust quite easily. It seems these are probably only rusty where they haven’t been protected as the OP stated. If I was that worried about it, I would buy a set of adjustable tubular wishbones if they are still available.

I do miss my old TVR, I’ll give you 10 for it. ….

No power steering. Only notice it at low speed where it is heavy. Feel at speed is great without though.
