Outstanding finance

Hi all.

Looking to purchase a car tomorrow and vcheck says there's outstanding finance. I'm purchasing from a independent dealer so I'll check with them as well.

The finance says v12 consumer finance, date 4 September 2024, term 4, type unit stocking.

I'm assuming this will be cleared when I purchase the car.
Any ideas?

It’s just funding that the dealer uses to buy stock.

I’ve had it on several cars I’ve bought - always been settled quickly.
As long as the dealers not dodgy…

I thought that hence me going today.
I've usually bought from big companies so never seen it.

Just ask them about it and get them to prove its been cleared.

I've sold cars with finance outstanding, both times to a dealer, the dealer phones the finance company and pays it off.
