Hi. Does anyone know the criteria for having a bmw approved used warranty ? Thinking about buying a low mileage 1M that has a gap in the history (from 2015-2021) during which time it did only 1k miles.

Also, the history is a mix of independent and main dealer.

Just wondered if these facts make it difficult to purchase a warranty ?

As long as genuine OEM parts were used and kept receipts/invoices it should be fine.
I stopped my warranty renewal on my M6 as it was sorn and their policy said the car had to be "road worthy" for it to still be under warranty.

Best to just give them a call/email to make sure you get the best advice - https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/contact-us

Yup. Was just a bit concerned about the large gap too.

From my experience use of an indie garage not a problem as long as OEM partes used-BUT car due a service every two years so wouldn't qualify with gap with no service. Best to ring Allianz? and ask them they may make an exception
