Probably a very short and low level thread - but sharing is caring

My MX5 (na) is 29 yrs old
I’ve owned it 28yrs

It’s triggers broom with respect to rust and repairs (although I do believe strongly the last ‘works’ will last)

Anyway - I am cursed and blessed with living on the susp of the Yorkshire moors.
Sun out so I took the Mazda to Northallerton’s butchers and market today - only 8 miles away. But, decided rather than home - a hoof up Sutton Bnak and the long way home would suit my day.

Planning and all that - Sutton Bnaknis closed so I think - aghhh on the other side ? The roads will be wonderfully quiet.
A short snick via Kilburn (‘mouse man funiture’) and up to the tops via the gliding club. Flat out empty roads to Helmsley, and a loop back via the ‘Helmsley TT’ .

Goddamnit- a tremendous diversion home

the poor car was my daily for 18 yrs , now dragged out and thrashed every week or so- asks for nothing- and 100% reliable - and thoroughly nails it even after all these years and miles.

Mazda smashed it with their version of a Elan didn’t they !!

Luke.

I will do a thread on the Rocketeering of it in due course but I have to say as hoofing along - MX5’s may not be the fastest : but lovely stuff all the same

It’s been a constant - and taken it’s duties - whether a daily / sole car - or brought out for a thrash

Been a wedding car of mine (twice !) butvstill makes me a little bit happier when cracking on.

Rocketeer engine bought - thread to follow
