Gridserve CCS Isolation Fault
Discussion
For the last couple of years since I've had my 2020 Taycan 4S I've not been able to charge on Gridserve fast chargers. I've tried quite a few models from 50Kw to 350Kw and no matter which model I try I always get the same error message on the screen: Error. Isolation Fault. Unsafe situation was prevented. Please reconnect.
I've charged all over the UK and Europe on so many networks, Ionity, Shell, BP, Kempower, Applegreen, Tesla etc and never had an issue. What's the deal with Gridserve? Has anyone else ever had this?
I guess it could be an issue with the car but seems odd as it's happy to charge literally anywhere else. I must have tried 10 plus Gridserves in many different locations and always get the same fault.

Thanks. Yeah I had phoned Gridserve and they were stumped. I don't want to go near a Porsche dealer as I don't want the dreaded software update that borks my useable battery. It's not a major issue for me, just a bit frustrating.
I did once get Gridserve to reboot a 50kw charger and it worked after the reboot but that's the only success I've had with them.

I have a 2020 Taycan and have never had this issue at Gridserve. I think it is almost certainly an issue with the car. Maybe Gridserve chargers are just sensitive to it?
The software update doesn't reduce your range. I've had the update and if anything I think my range has gone up very slightly. My (admittedly limited) understanding is that it only restricts the range/charging if it detects a battery issue. In which case you definitely want to know about it and get it fixed.

Hi. I m also experiencing this issue. 2020 Taycan 4S.
Specifically DC charging at BP Pulse, Gridserve, CCS chargers. Get the isolation fault on multiple chargers at the same location.
Charges fine on every other provider which to me appear to have a different user interface on the charge point screens. Home charge also fine on AC.
Porsche looked at the car under warranty, no codes, no battery faults. Said they have seen this before and suggested I force the charger in firmly in future. This hasn t helped for me.
Not a massive issue but it can be inconvenient on longer journeys where the majority of charge points utilise this type of charge interface necessitating finding another provider or specifically setting non-Gridserve in the charge planner within Nav. Painful.
Any resolutions from people on here?

I had a bunch of recall work done a couple of months ago, loads of software updates. Interested to see if this makes any difference. Going to give a Gridserve a go on Friday or Saturday to find out. I still expect to be disappointed. At least it's not just me, misery loves company and all that.Specifically DC charging at BP Pulse, Gridserve, CCS chargers.
