Brilliant two parter on Netflix, Charlie Sheen giving his life story, and what a story it is!
I like the guy, and he has certainly lived a life.
Well worth a watch

Classic bi polar (manic depression), although like a true mental he said he was diagnosed bi polar, then said he wasn't but is 'bi winning'.
I mean it is as exhausting as he makes it look, trust me....
As someone with bi polar, he is totally bi polar, doesn't excuse anything, particularly how he has treated loved ones, but it is for sure an explanation. He is absolute text book though, pure Lord Byron.

It's a fascinating watch, he comes across as quite likeable which surprised me.

I've seen some clips of him on Joe Rogan recently, talking about his 'troubled' period and he actually comes across very well. Seems he's now at a point where he can look back on it and reflect.

I'd imagine he's got some wild stories from during that time though

He said he was something like 7 years clean, yet that mug he was sipping on did make me wonder.

It's only in recent years that I learned of his birth name and that his brother is Emilio Estevez, shame he didn't take part in the programme.

He had (or so he claimed) five of Heid Fleiss's girls in a hotel room at the same time. He said that "nobody left in the morning disappointed,"

His autobiography is out now, straight to the top of my Xmas list!

Just watched part 1 so far, he comes across as an entitled, spoilt, knobhead. Which didn't surprise me at all. I think he's a decent actor though.

Heidi Fleiss came across better, I think I like her. She certainly seems to have him well and truly sussed.

That was my take away as well. I listened to him on Rogan earlier while cutting the grass. The news about Charlie Kirk broke while their interview was ongoing. I thought he came across like someone pretending to care whilst giving the opinions Rogan wanted. I also thought it telling that neither his father nor brother wanted any part in that doc. I suspect they’ve both had enough of him.

Fair enough, but I'll assume you think the same of James Hunt, Barry Sheen, Jackson Pollock, Fred Astaire, Elvis, John Lennon, etc etc.
I don't think its necessary to like him, its a study of a man with mental illness, its not to excuse anything he's done, nor is it to glamorise it, people will add those bits in themselves depending how they view it. That isn't his or the makers problem.
I'll be honest until i found out he had bi polar i wouldn't of said i liked him, I'm biased of course now and in full knowledge of why he has had the life he has had....
Of course people can dislike him all they want, but i don't think any of that matter's as with bi polar no one can love you more than you love yourself, and the flip side is, no one can hate you as much as you hate yourself..... so fk 'them', you are meaningless in our world.
