Used Rav 4

Looking to buy a cheap ( sub £3500 ) Rav4 5 door

We will only do about 3 or 4k miles a year, mainly local but happy to consider petrol or diesel as I guess at my pricepoint it will be a mk2 pre dpf

Any suggestions / advice on which year / model etc to get ?

Have a very good look underneath.

Rust is the biggest danger at that sort of age.

Thanks will do but just thinking which might be better petrol or diesel at that age..obviously a diesel engine can run for 100's of thousands of miles whereas a petrol probably 150k. Also I think ( might be wrong ) the petrol is chain whereas the diesel is belt ?
