M and P gone bust ??????

There's always been bad drivers. I don't think there's been much change on that front in 25 years of riding. The one thing that does concern me is the number of dash cam owners who might just decide to send a video of a rider over the speed limit because that wasn't a thing all those years back. Theft probably is up, although I wonder how many of those are from locked garages and how many are from those locked on the street..
If M&P have gone to the wall, it's another sad day for the industry as they've been trading a long time.

???As a middle aged driver and rider who sometimes does or doesn't wear prescription glasses (I'm long sighted) and sometimes sneaks onto the other carriageway to turn right to avoid a line of stationary traffic I find cars are just not worth the hassle anymore. It's no wonder bike shops are closing. It's only older blokes who can afford the bikes and didn't have to jump through hoops to do their license. Must admit my KTM has done about 300 miles this year, I've completely lost the love for it.

I spent hours of my youth dreaming of which annodised blue levers I'd put on the imaginary 750 SRAD I couldn't afford or legally ride if I could
I for one won’t miss M&P’s.
Went to buy a new Kawasaki Z900RS, paid deposit and expected it for March 22, had recently passed my test and was excited to get my first bike. Beginning of March came and no bike, messaged salesman to find there was no expected delivery date, pulled my order and went elsewhere for a stock bike, had my deposit refunded against the service of the bike they should have provided.
Went to change Kawasaki, for a BMW 1250GSA, was speaking to the salesman and showed him the exact offer I had from a dealer in London, he didn’t even reply to it, I know he had seen my message as it was sent via WhatsApp. Even if he had come back with I can’t match that but I can do X then I probably would have been inclined to buy local.
Never darkened their door again.

As far as I know they ve just been bought out and are having a restructure into a new larger site not far from the existing premises. Multi franchise to inc Honda, KTM, Iawasaki and Ducati so things looking pretty good I believe.
I have heard that as well, however, wouldn't it be odd to close the business? Wouldn't it be better to continue to trade and buy the going concern? I think they were pretty successful when they were doing the kit and parts stuff, then they started to expand into sales and servicing and this is where they've struggled.I bought a bike from them 2 wks ago, thankfully I have possession of it. t, they took 10 days to do the pre sales checks, multiple chase up messages from me to find out what was happening and when I picked it up, they hadn't even cleaned it!! So I'm 99% sure they haven't done the checks either.I wasn't ever going to use them for servicing as that side of things is bad, I've never heard a good word about that side of their business.
Feel sorry for the staff, I'd like to think their lack of 'enthusiasm' shall we say, was maybe due to them knowing what was coming? If not, and that was how they normally did business, then I'm not surprised they've gone under.
I need treatment. The thread reminded me of the discounts M&P did on new Z900s and that sent me thinking of that sub £8K 300 mile demonstrator in silver, grey with the dark red frame and wheels Performance model with the Akra can that looks so much better I missed out on in May which in turn sent me off to Autotrader even though they've an on/off throttle and I could as ever be about to lose the use of a garage.
