Rumour has it M and P Swansea has gone to the wall. Cardiff shut recently and everything was moved/ moving to Swansea. Another largish player in the motorcycle world gone? Website is still up and working apparently so wouldn’t be ordering anything from it personally….

As far as I know they’ve just been bought out and are having a restructure into a new larger site not far from the existing premises. Multi franchise to inc Honda, KTM, Iawasaki and Ducati so things looking pretty good I believe.

Im not surprised. I gave up and sold my R1200RS. The insurance AND the theft risk. Even if its a busy street they'll come out of the woodwork.

Then there's middle aged drivers not wearing prescription glasses or sneaking onto the other carriageway to turn right to avoid a line of stationary traffic.

Its just not worth the hassle anymore. Hence we'll see alot more shops and dealerships close.

Take a wider view of the industry. Then ask that question of me again.

I shall, but such a blunt and unfocused rant as yours adds no value.

There's always been bad drivers. I don't think there's been much change on that front in 25 years of riding. The one thing that does concern me is the number of dash cam owners who might just decide to send a video of a rider over the speed limit because that wasn't a thing all those years back. Theft probably is up, although I wonder how many of those are from locked garages and how many are from those locked on the street..

If M&P have gone to the wall, it's another sad day for the industry as they've been trading a long time.

I got my Duke from them the other year, it was the wrong colour when it was delivered right enough but I did use them a lot buying oils and such. Never nice to see.
