How do you define a man?

Keir cant define a woman, so maybe Macron cant define a man.

Why? There's no shame in being a woman who used to be a man so I can't see how any compensation would be required whatsoever.

Moreover, gender is totally fluid. So how can Macron reasonably claim she's neve been a man? She might have "felt" like a man for 30 minutes in 1988 for all the Judge knows.

Aside from the fact I find it grotesque and ghoulish that she was his schoolteacher and ended up being his much, much older wife.

Why would it matter if she were a man?

What's a man?

Or do you mean was Mrs Macron born male?

Either way, don't know, don't care.

Probably not. And if she is, who cares? As long as her and her husband are ok with either current or past trouser-sausage I don't see how it's anyone else's business.

Because people can add up?

She taught him when he was 15 in 1993.

They married 14 years later in 2007.

I'm sure that many people do not have high opinions of Macron, but I think he might have worked a few things out by the time he was 29 and chose to marry her.

A person born with XY chromosomes. That's all there is to it, really.

But, I couldn't care less if she's a man or a woman. As long as they're happy and can look past the HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE age gap.

Unfortunately it is not all there is to it. There are chromosomal defects which means that people presenting as woman can have XY, and people presenting as men that do not have XY. However, this is very rare, but it does mean that there are fringe cases where chromosomes aren't the perfect measure of whether somebody is a man or woman.

It's important to remember this as people can overlook it when the topic moves onto trans people.

Based on childhood pictures, she is clearly not a man unless she somehow falls into the very rare fringe cases mention above. Just because she is not looking great (mainly due to age) doesn't make her a man.

There will always be genetical abnormalities, as you said, extremely rare. 99.9% of the time biological sex is chromosomes.

Gender and gender norms are an entirely human construct that really ought to be as fluid as anyone wants.

Language really matters and gets ignored all to frequently.

I hope in this case that CO finds that while free speech is absolutely her right, she must also deal with the legal consequences of what she peddles.

Yes - there are no end of photos that show how much her daughter looks like her.

A friend of mine, when a teacher, taught the girl who 20 years later became his wife. 15 years age difference. They have 3 children now in their 30s.

If she was 15 at the time then yes and there is additional issue as teaching is a position of responsibility so even at 18, relationship with a student is improper.

Context is key. In your example, presumably they met again years later as adults and there was no romantic involvement initially when one was of school age.

Macron was 15. She was his drama teacher. They spent hours together 1 on 1. His parents tried to split the relationship up by sending him to Paris to study but he defied them and stayed in contact with Brigitte.

Would be called grooming nowadays
