996 tip Block 1 T chain actuator /tensioner guides
Discussion
Hi looking for advice please. Indy garage says post IMS/RMS upgrade on low mileage <60k miles 996 that there has been failure of both the timing chain tensioner and also the timing chain guide on the variable cam actuator on bank 1 and hence needs replacing these and guides. This comes at no small cost. Is this a common fault and does this signal block 2 might need similarly renewing these parts or could be isolated ? I would value any experiences here please or advice. Thank you
