Watched the last episode last night and the ending didn’t seem to make any sense. The programme just stopped as if half way through a scene. Am I missing something?

I always use the term ‘A Sky Original’ as a warning that it’s likely to be mostly pants. There have been a few exceptions, but mostly it works.

And probably set-up for a dreary Series-2

I tend to agree with you but Jackal was good and I think that was a Sky original. Atomic started OK but got progressively worse.

Max and JJ supposedly nuked themselves by setting off the bomb. We didn't see them dead so there could be some fanciful story line that means they're still alive.
Alam left Shirokova for dead in the desert, but she was found by Cassandra who not only wants nuclear weapons out of the hands of Alam / the cartel but also has an accident to grind with the bent scientist and agent, on to of that she got confirmation it was Alam that shot her. Some sort of relationship beween the Russains and her and seeking out the bent agent is ikely to be where series 2 picks up (if there is one)

I agree with what you say in the spoiler bu5 it just seemed the weirdest way to end a series.

Reminds me of the novel version of American Psycho, same techniques (unfinished chapters).

there is no possible way that just running into each other holding the uranium would cause it to detonate

Just watched episode 5

I feel cheated, let down and angry.

WTAF?

I was half expecting it to turn out to be fake uranium and an episode 6 to wrap it all up.

It's as though the writer got bored and gave up.

It started off so well, however, it turned in to absolute rubbish ..

Glad I found this thread as I was a bit unsure!

I also assume that the boys set off the bomb by running into each other and when the girls met on the road, they were then off to find the other nuclear weapons the cartel has... but it felt utterly ridiculous

Was good in places and I'd watch Series 2 but I must admit to feeling a bit let down that some early promise led to... that!

What if they both had it in their hands and high fived really hard?
