Is the F87 M2 Comp the bargain of the decade at the moment? Around £30k would get a good one and I can't find anything that comes close for the price.

The PCP deal on my F87 M2 Comp is due to end in around 10 months so I have started to look at possible replacements. The new G87 M2 was top of my list but after getting a few finance quotes I was shocked at how expensive it would be to move into a car that was essentially a bigger, heavier version of my existing car. For reference, my car is only worth £2k less now (after 24k extra miles) than it was when I 'bought' it. If use the equity in the car (roughly £4500) towards a deposit, topped it up with another £5500, the new M2 would still be £750-£900ish a month over 3 years.

718 Caymans and Boxsters are even worse but with the new 2.0 and 2.5 fours, they don't really compare from a drivetrain perspective. I accept PDK is better than DCT though.

I looked at Mustangs but the interior isn't very pleasant. Jaguar P450 f-type really appeals but I am not particularly confident that it would be as reliable as the M2... or as good to drive.

So... what options would you lovely lot suggest? Am I missing anything? Thinking that the best option would be to just refinance and keep the F87?

My son has a Mustang Dark Horse and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how good the interior is ( And I have owned Bentley's, Porches and fast Audi's). After 7 months of ownership his car still has no creaks or rattles. True the car is a big ole thing, but it looks good and the V8 rumble at standstill and when moving up the rev range is a delight.
