None running ford
Discussion
I own a 2009 ford fiesta TDCI 1.4l diesel.
A few months ago I drove to work and attempted to drive home after my shift and my car would not start. The dashboard read "engine malfunction" the car has never started since, its turning over but will not start.
I have had 9 different mechanics look at it and ive had a ridiculous amount of parts replaced, yet my car still does not want to fire up.
The parts are as follows:
Map sensor, camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, EGR valve, fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump and the full ECU kit.
I have no codes on the diagnosis computer as of now replacing many parts.
Yet the car does not start. It no longer says engine malfunction on the dash either.
Im at witts end with knowing what to do and the garage who currently have the car are wanting to give up with it and I dont want to move it to yet another garage and pay more money out for nothing.
I have actually spent more on parts than the car originally cost me 2nd hand. So im not wishing to give up but I do feel like I have no choice just the thought of all that wasted money makes me sick aha.
Can anybody help at all?

Sorry to hear about your troubles. It sounds like you need to get it to somewhere who can do a proper diagnosis as to why it will not fire. This will likely involve looking at live data readouts from various sensors using a decent reader or a tool like Forscan; rather than throwing parts at it (at your expense of course).
It could be something like a communications fault between the immobiliser/instrument cluster and the main computer - some Fords from around this era need the connectors resoldering onto the circuit board of the instrument cluster, but I don't know if this was still a problem affecting your model.

I saw about the instrument cluster stuff on youtube, it may be of help.

If it were mine, Job #1 fully charge battery before going any further.
After that, as others have said you are really in the lap of the garage gods as (hopefully) the above has already been done, but it does not sound (from what you say) that they have done much apart from fit parts randomly.
Of course that could just be poor communication from them to you.
Any engine issue can be diagnosed if the "disgnoser" is willing/knowledgeable enough to take the time to do so, alas I am guessing this is not you, so I don't know what to suggest really, sorry.

You are absolutely correct about the battery, it is critical on Ford and others, and you would not believe what can be fixed by a new battery, Auto box anyone ? 2007 C-max turning over and not starting, RAC said immobiliser, all sorts said all sorts, eventually a mutual friend called and asked me, instantly said battery, another 2 days and off to Halfords the owner went, guess what?
Edit: I forgot to add that on some cars even a small drop in voltage can take out a big hidden fuse, not in the fuse box, it is rare but does happen and the car will turnover but never start.
