I was 16 years old working in a local fish and chip shop. Still see the owner regularly and he has a lovely collection of interesting cars including an NSX!

In my second job out of Uni as a engineer for a tech consultancy doing hardware / software / project management for loads of cool gadgets.

I felt drastically underpaid at the time -- although in hindsight, maybe it wasn't so bad considering that today's grads get paid almost the same amount as I did back then

..... and the pension pot from 3 years at that job is currently at 60K or ~2x the annual salary I was on when I left .........

Working as a systems engineer for the Press Association news agency in Fleet Street. One of my favourite jobs, great team, interesting work, happy days.

Bond market analyst at my first bank, I think. Business unit would have been getting ready to go properly tits up, after which we'd resurrect most of the team at another bank. That also went tits up a couple of years later.

I was undertaking the mechanical design of heat exchangers and process equipment for an equipment manufacturer. When the design office was quiet I'd don my overalls and head into the works to help on the assembly and testing lines. I left for career progression but god I miss those days - life was just so much simpler back then.

That would have been 1998 if you want to reverse engineer my age, just come back from a year long honeymoon backpacking round the world, to get a software development job putting real time monitoring into trucks which was brand new technology back then.
