That's very curious. Some idle speculation; have they ambled back from a blue light shout, stopped off at McDonald's as they thought patient wasn't making it any way? Or something along those lines.

Mentions care staff maybe some bad stuff with a care home?

They're saying 6 people died, which I suggest is unlikely in a single event, so I assume single patients over a period of time. Perhaps they were electing not to give certain patients full medical care and allowing them to pass away of 'natural causes'?

My guess would be that there have been underperforming or negligent or borderline criminal staff which should and could have been indentified and dealt with by competent managers.

The managers could see the st was about to hit the fan and called police.
