On holiday near Helensburgh and have just had a submarine pass us heading out from Faslane cool

We’re struggling to work out what it is/which navy though? Looks quite small to me. Any experts out there? biggrin

Thanks, was just going to say the same. Looks identical to the pic in this article: https://www.navylookout.com/hms-anson-returns-to-f...

Seems like a rare spot then as most of the class are broken right now frown

Its an Astute class. Possibly sea trials for either Artful which is due back in service this year, or Agememnon which is due to enter service soon.

There is a heck of a lot of it you can't see.

It was Anson leaving. Agamemnon was commissioned today by The King. I was lucky enough to be there.

Thank you. Wow that must have been special!

Well our luck has continued and we’ve just seen a Vanguard class come home from patrol (or so I’m led to believe).

We saw two Royal Marine boats and a small gunboat leave earlier along with tugs and then we could track the pair of tugs coming back in close formation via an AIS app so we had an idea something was up.
