Trim around griff headlight fairings

I have seen photos of griffs with some trim covering the sikaflex between the perspex fairing and the body, looks like a plastic or maybe chrome. Anybody seen one or have any info?

Sorry David, I have seen a few in various mags including Sprint but no reference to the trim.

The very early Tamora prototype had these, but never seen anything but black sealant on Gorgeous griffs

Yes I have seen this. It was on a Giffith 500, a rubber strip pushed around the fairing opening - between the body and perspex fairing. This was on an Australian car and I can only think it was done because of the lack knowledge with regards to sealing the light pod to the body. It did not look good as the strip sat proud of the body and the seal was ineffective.

My sealant is not leaking but looks a bit scruffy! What is the correct product to use and where can I get it from ? Thanks.

I would have thought black silicon sealant would do the job. (as used for the headlight access covers in the wheel arch).

Never seen this and I have seen many Griffiths...
