Hi all,

I have a 2022 i10 N line, and it's a lot of fun to drive, but I just feel it can be a little lacking in power. I've looked for performance upgrades, but it's like trying to find the proverbial rocking horse poo!
I've found a couple of tuning boxes (apparently remapping isn't straightforward on the N line i10) but can't find much else for this car. Struggling to find anything for upgrading intake or exhaust, the only other thing I have found, are eibech lowering springs.
Any thoughts/ideas from anyone who has found any upgrades for this car would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Real helpful, thanks!!!
I don't want to buy an i20, so your comment is quite pointless.

Have you had any luck with this yet?
We’re getting a ’22 i10 N Line next month and I’ve been looking and you’re right, remaps look virtually non existent. Not sure I trust a tuning box but willing to be proved wrong…

Mrs has just done 1k miles in her i10 have to say it's great fun to drive !

Quick look online looms like 140hp and 210Nm is pretty standard for a remap.

Not that she will ever want that done mind !

Sorry for the delay replying. I did get a tuning box, and it has been really good, the i10 surprises a lot of people with it's improved performance. There are remap options available, from Blue Spark (who also do tuning boxes) and Mallory Performance. Another tuning box option is from TDI Tuning.
The other mod I have carried out was to install Eibach lowering springs. The car sits 25mm lower than standard springs, and this has improved upon the already very good handling.
I'm currently looking into a cold air induction kit, and may be custom building one. Impossible Fabrication in Australia do sell a kit for the Kia Picanto GT Line with the 1 litre turbo engine, but there may be a difference with the air box set up they have made due to it being made to seal against the underside of the bonnet. I think I will be able to come up with something myself to do the same thing. The same with the exhaust system too, it would have to be a custom item, as there aren't any off the shelf performance exhausts that I can find for the car.
Hopefully this helps a little bit. I'll try and keep you updated with my progress with the induction kit as and when I can.

I expect he thought his post was "funny" but the thing is, not everyone can afford to buy and run something like an i20N, and to be honest, I quite enjoy the i10, and the process of doing some modifications to it to make this fun little car that little bit more fun.

They are great fun to drive, brilliant chassis! My i10 was rolling roaded on the highest setting on the Blue Spark tuning box, and it was doing 141bhp and 235Nm. The standard cars 99bhp and 172Nm isn't always the case. With some N Line and Picanto GT Line cars, when rolling roaded prior to a tuning box or remap, some are producing 110bhp and 180Nm stock. Great little engine!

Excellent, thank you.
Brought the car home last weekend. Train to Torquay and then a 200 mile drive home. Very impressed with it so far and the wife loves it too

They are a great fun little car to drive. If you do go the tuning box or remap route, it's well worth running it on 99 octane fuel, especially if you are going to the upper end of a box/map. The engine in the i10 N Line is also used in other Hyundai models that run 118bhp stock, so there's plenty of headroom for increased power. I've ran the Blue Spark box for around 10 months now, and have had no issues with it or the running/performance of the car.
