Haven't ordered one myself but a mate of mine who has a C4S convertible has got his name on the AMV8 wait list. He's not really going to take it - just sell on the place on the list.

Last week's Autocar group test tells us what we all thought. Looks and sounds like an Aston. Drives like a Ford.... Not for me thanks!

I’d love an Aston V8 Vantage, it would an 1988 car with the X pack and POW spec !

The new one really isn’t my bag at all and no matter how many rave reviews the media give the thing, it still has the wif of a Ford Probe about it!

I ordered one and cancelled it last weekend and got my money back (plus premium - Yes!!!).

The AM V8 started at £65k, but by the time it got to £80k it was well out of my league, especially as they insisted I order extras. It is my dream car, but now going on a Ride & Drive day with Porsche and will start looking seriously again at 997 2S.

At least you can console yourself that its the better drivers car, and that you won't be like every other James Bond wannabe buying the Aston

(lovely cars though they are).

This is my first post so Hi.
I don’t know if you are aware but the sport auto super test results are out, the AMVB lapped the ring in 8:03 with Pirelli corsa sport tyres and 8:13 on the standard Bridgestone tyres. Aston make great GT's, 911 KILLER I DONT THINK SO.
