I love car watching and the old shops etc, it’s a lovely way to reminisce every so often.

Is it anyone else’s guilty pleasure?

I watched every single one until I ended up back at the start. Not the US ones though.

I like watching them too, only just old enough to remember the theme vaguely. Probably only caught about a third of them from across all the series seeing them as and when rather than seeking them out.

The quality is all over the place in terms of writing, direction and acting but that is part of the charm. It feels older than it actually is as many of the stories are adapted from short stories written in the 50s or 60s, mostly from a male perspective but I guess the writers were also in their 50s or 60s as well! I also find it amusing that most stories revolve around wealthy upper or upper middle-class successful people or when there's an expensive Hollywood star in an ep shot on film on location then the next it in the series is on video clearly in a Norwich studio.

I've heard of it talked of very fondly by those older and I do keep watching. But it does show that Inside No.9 is lightyears ahead, even though there are comparisons.

Lots of it is Roald Dahl short stories as it started out based on one of his books, there were some good ones among those.

I enjoy them too.
Amazing mixture of great, weird, not so good and downright awful.
Some of the American ones are not good even if there are some top actors in them like Robert Loggia. They seem to be shot on second hand film!
