Considering changing the front pads on my F33 which has the Msport brakes, any recommendations on which pads work best? There’s a baffling array of possibles out there varying from Eicher at the cheap, Brembo, Bosch, Pagid, Brembo Xtra, Street+ etc..

The OEM F8x M3/M4 pads are good; a good step up over the standard BMW pad. However I run the standard BMW pads with the BMW M Performance discs on our F31 and they've been faultless, superb braking and no issues. Great when fitted alongside HEL braided lines etc

The Pagid Street+ pads are superb also - I ran them on my previous 130i which I fitted the front 340mm Brembo brakes - paired with Brembo 2 piece discs. Made for superb braking

If you want little to no dust; I'd highly recommend the ATE Ceramic pads via Autodoc - superb braking and little to no dust as well

I personally wouldn't touch any cheap pads (like standard Brembos (very dusty I've found), Eicher etc - Textar and Jurid make BMWs pads; but their aftermarket pads aren't as good I've found

What Dan says, although every F80 or M4 that pulls alongside me in slow moving traffic has horrendous brake squeal. Must be the pads because my F30 has the same calipers (standard M sport pads) but doesn't squeal.

The Pagid Street+ look pretty decent.

They are really good... Not cheap but well worth it IMO

No they're not - Textar and Jurid do make BMW pads; but their aftermarket pads are a different compound and not as good as OEM BMW, more dusty too I've found

The product codes differ when you look at them side by side - been there/done that

But they're good pads still; better than the likes of bog-standard Brembo, Apec, Bosch, Blue Print etc

I've recently had some Jurid pads fitted to my E82. No complaints about the performance now they've bedded in, but they do squeak a little when you first press the pedal.
