FireStick Stream Apps

HI all,

I have a firestick with one of those streaming services, I seek wisdom.

I used to use Sky live to stream but that app stopped working. Ive tried downloading other apps but they are all rubbish ie. buffer, dont connect, repeat every 10 secs, etc. I was told to use Sky Glass but when downloading it my ip and password doesnt work. This suggests that there are many different streaming channels / systems.

Does anyone know how all these stream service work and how I can work out which one I have a userid / password too? My hope is to then down load a beeter / correct app to log into it ?

I stupidily thought I could download any app and use my userid and password, but clearly this isnt the case, or do I need to set up the app to point to the right streaming service ? I dont know and was hoping one of you guys could help explain it too me.

I have no idea what Kodi is, or add ons. Im just used to seeing an add with movies, series, EPG, I search though looking for something. Are all these other apps similar or just pure movies ? Does that question show you how stupid I am to all this, so perhaps I need a dumbs guide to streaming lol
