First trip out in the new Griff and I hear a bang...get home to see the driver side Cibie has taken a direct hit.

Can anyone recommend a replacement?

How can these these lights be protected from future possible chips?

Thanks!

Hi. I fitted some carbo discs to my Griff many years ago. Get them from the TVR Car club office.

I had cracked original Cibie ones on my Griff when I bought it, unfortunately. I replaced then with some very cheap ones from Bowers. Perhaps not the highest quality but they've been on the car over 4 years and 5k miles, although I hardly ever drive at night these days:

If I remember correctly, they were cheaper from their eBay shop than their own website, and that was in the days you paid a seller fee.

I did have to file a little off the earth connection terminals because they were a bit wider than the OE.

Thanks for that!...

There seem to be quite a few different covers you can put over these lights to protect them from future chips, its a matter of finding some the right size!...

The connections on the back of the lamps from Bowers were in a different position to the OE, so the water-resistant rubber cover couldn't be re-used. If you want to drive in the rain, you may need to improvise protection to the connections.

I'd say amber....

Hmmm have removed them and gone for clear covers as it seems it may be an MOT issue.
